Powerful aromas of violets, lilac and rosehips are followed by secondary aromas of herbs, black olive, cedar box, and classic Oakville east iron filings. Wonderful natural acidity balances flavors of blackberry pots de crème, fresh raspberry, soy, pipe tobacco and cedar. Tannins are lush but finish with a bit of dust. Deserves a decant if opening soon, and will easily last 10-15 years.
